Hot off the Prez

I don’t know about you, but I think the good Lord is really looking out for us. We were starting to get very nervous about finding a good director for 1940’s Radio Hour, when who should come out of nowhere, but Samuel Macera! I can tell you, I was a very happy man. We (the executive committee) soon scheduled a meeting with Sam and were very pleased with what we learned.

Sam is from Waterville, and has been very active with the Waterville Playshop since 1970. He has served as their Chair, Vice-Chair, worked with publicity, production, business and as a historian. He has directed and produced several shows for them and the Grand Rapids Historical Society Summer Theatre. He even directed 1940’s Radio Hour in 2002.

We found Sam to be extremely knowledgeable and well versed in all aspects of the production and theatre on the whole. His forte is in music and he has directed mostly musicals. Welcome to ACT’s family SAM!

We would also like to welcome David Nafziger back to Archbold and welcome him as a new family member to ACT. The board of trustees voted unanimously to add him to the board of director’s to fill our vacancy. David is currently the President of Lugbill Supply Center. He had previous theatrical experience in high school, and has always wanted to get back into it. We believe he will be a great asset for ACT.

If you see him around, let him know that you’re glad he’s back home!
