OCTAfest 2002 was "Fun in the Sun"
Submitted by Michelle Johnson, ACT 's OCTA delegate

Northwest OCTA held a meeting on November 23, 2002, at Kostumes, Inc. in Perrysburg. Waterville Playshop hosted the event, and gave all attending delegates a mug in celebration of the Playshop's 50th season, and Kostumes, Inc. awarded each theatre a gift certificate toward a costume rental. The Northwest Region has purchased a digital camera and it is available for theatres' use.

Archbold will host a delegates' meeting and theatre workshops on Saturday, April 12, 2003. All friends and members of ACT are invited to attend. The workshop topics will soon be announced, but will probably include the timely topics of fundraising and grant writing.

The 2003 regional festival will take place on June 6-8 in Fremont, and will be co-sponsored by Fremont and Port Clinton Community Theatres. Mark your calendars for a great weekend of live theatre.

If you can't wait that long for a weekend of excerpts and social events, AACT Fest is coming February 21-23, 2003, in Tiffin. The Ritz Players are hosting the statewide event. This festival differs slightly from OCTAfests in that the theatres may present a 60-minute excerpt from any show, even one not from the current season.
